Discounted advance tickets are on sale now for an unprecedented evening of original songs performed by a stylistically diverse collection of artists from across South Louisiana.

This radical show will feature seven vastly different, headline, genre defining artists, all who live and work in South Louisiana, and have each carved out their own incredibly unique career trajectories on the strength of their indelible original songs. From maverick multi-platinum indie-folk icon Ani DiFranco to Zydeco Kingpin Keith Frank, these great artists share one thing in common: their ability to draw and touch audiences with the power of their original material. Taking the stage together for the first time, this multi generational, genre blending collective of artists will engage in a “song swap”, bringing you the songs you know and love in an intimate, pared-down setting, breaking down their stylistic stereotypes to focus simply on “the song”.

Reinterpretations, conversation, collaboration – nothing is off limits at Songs Over Style, one of the culminating events of the inaugural SOLO: South Louisiana Songwriters Festival & Workshop. Learn more at solosongwriters.com, and get your discounted advance tickets to this very special evening of songs and stories now. This show will sell out. Seating is limited, and advance ticket holders will be admitted first to this very special general admission event.

Ani DiFranco

is an indie-alt rock icon, NOW award winner, singer, poet and label owner. 20 records, millions of sales and touring miles into her career, Ani is renowned for her ability to deeply connect with audiences through her blindingly transparent live show.

His newly written tunes stand amongst the best and most poignant of his career.

Princess Shaw

hails from New Orleans where an inspired phone video of an a cappella version of an original song made her an overnight youtube sensation. The award-winning film of her meteoric rise “Presenting Princess Shaw” illustrates all that is new and possible in the creation and collaboration process in the digital youtube era.

Keith Frank

has been ruling the regional zydeco scene and packing dance halls since the early ’90s. The allure is his consistent output of insta-infectious original songs that dominate regional airwaves. His most recent hit “Haterz”, featuring Baton Rouge rapper Lil’ Boosie, has clocked up over 2 million youtube hits.

Jelly Toast

Tif Lamson & Julie Odell are childhood friends from Lafayette. Tif has found recent indie pop success with her band GIVERS and has had her songs featured in global adverts. Julie is somewhat of a “new”, “undiscovered” artist/songwriter in the game and local scene, but she certainly does not write or perform like it at all!

CC Adcock

has worked with all of the artists above. Since way before his major label debut in ’94 he has been making it his business to play with his musical idols. CC is a GRAMMY nominated record producer, songwriter and film composer whose original music has been featured in dozens of films and commercial adverts.
